Custom painting of underhood parts, anyone here do it?

Hey all, I'm am looking to get a few underhood parts custom painted professionally. Specifically the engine cover, and the plastic pieces that cover the strut towers. I have seen pics online of 7th gens that have some of these pieces done in OEM colors, and was wondering if someone on this forum does this. If so, could you all lead me in the right direction?

Remove covers clean them, use a alcohol cleaner or alcohol itself and prime it spray it with your fav color and hit it with some clear coat in a can.. Done!

You may be able to get away without priming it. Make sure you get a paint that can deal with the heat, should be most paints...Get spare undressed parts and test it out first so you don't ruin anything.

Take a look at Mighty Car Mods. They have one where they show painting an engine cover. It's all about the prep work. If you do that, it'll come out great regardless.

Yep, rattle can jobs can look really good. It is all in the prep.

I mean you can always just remove the parts you want and take it to a paint shop if you want it to be professional.
