Angry Pissed - newer tires wearing prematurely - ideas on cause?

So my nice new Continental DWS's have been on my car for just under a year. I'm familiar with these tires and have always liked them, especially because they're quiet. When I bought them I had a 4 wheel alignment done and always keep my pressure where it should and rotate about every 5-6000 miles.

During my last rotation about 2,000 miles ago, my tires seemed a lot louder. Mainly coming from left side. After checking them out the left side are starting to cup/choppy which explains why it sounds like I'm riding on knobby tires.

I'm wondering if it could be bad bushings, suspension issue or something like that beings it's only on the one side. Is this a common problem at all?

My max drives straight, has 57,xxx miles on it and the tires have always been rotated from back to front vice versa. So it could be just the front causing the problem or the back and it's being rotated back and fourth.

If cupping is the problem the cause is usually a bad shock or a tire out of balance. Take it in to the tire company and have it looked at.

I'm bringing my car into the dealer by me for the CVT fluid. I'm trying to decide if they could handle the situation and make it a one stop shop. Otherwise, I need to find a new place because I've moved since buying tires.

They should be able to handle it. Let me know what they charge for CVT drain and fill. I'm do for mine also.

I already checked, they said $220 but I have a 20% off coupon so it'll be just under $180. Thinking about letting them flush my coolant while I'm there ($88 w/ coupon). I could do this stuff but just don't have the time anymore.

My right rear shock was blown at 58k miles, and they replaced it under warranty.
A blown shock can cause what you are describing.

What brought the blown shock your attention? Also, I/m assuming you were out of warranty when it happened at 58K, how did you get it covered under warranty?

I had purchased the 100k extended warranty plan. Initially they tried to deny and called it a wear item. I argued and they changed it.
The fluid that is supposed to be in the shock was running down the side because of blown seals. I saw it when I was rotating my tires.
It is extremely easy to change yourself btw.

Did you have springs on at the time?
