You have the #1 main bearing knock and that is for sure. You need to go to another dealer and make sure you remind them of the TSB that is out on the subject. My dealer rolled their eyes at me when I first brought it up but after hearing my vehicle and seeing the TSB for themselves them became very helpful. They made the repair almost a year ago on my 2012 with 20k miles on it and the engine runs great ever since. Take the car to another dealer if yours will not help or call the Nissan complaint line and ask for them to review your case. One listen to your video clip will be very convincing as yours is rather loud. Don't give up they will fix it at no charge.

That's VERY noticeable on your vehicle. It's a shame your dealership is giving you the runaround. Best of luck to you!!

I just think that it's just amazing that the TSB for this problem came out in 2012 and this vehicle is a 2014 and still has the problem. The TSB does not mention anything about the 2014 model year because none were built at that time but they kept producing motors with the same problem years latter. I hope they got it figured out for the 8th generation vehicles.

either way its under warranty and unless they can prove abuse or lack of maintenance they should fix it for free! Dig your heal in role up your sleeves thats B.S. that they will not fix it!

Keep in mind that this noise is a nuisance, it will not affect the longevity of the engine.

The amount of time the engine spends at idle, in park or neutral, is very small - the noise should go away in gear. Having said that, if Nissan will fix it, let them.
