09 Maxima acting strange!! pleaes help

So my Maxima is doing some strange things. As i drive the batter and brake lights begin to flicker. If i keep accelerating the the rest of the lights in the cluster come on such as: slip, key light, service engine, pretty much all the lights around the RPM gauge. Now when all the lights light up i lose all acceleration, my mph gauge shows 0mph but the engine stays on and then I think the transmission kicks really hard then the all the lights turn off and the car drives normally again. My boss has the same car and did almost the same thing and turned out his CVT was going bad. Has anyone else experienced this? I am attaching a video of whats happening. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If that's the case and you have less than 120k miles on your car the cvt will be covered under the extended warranty for the 09/10 models. Check your charging system just to be sure (battery and alternator)

Battery is a year old but im not experiencing any power loss of any kind and the car starts every time just fine. THe only issue is what you see in the video. Do you think the battery/alternator can make it act the way it is in the vid?

It is possible. My alternator went out in my old civic and it did the same as your instrument cluster just without any transmission issues. It's an easy check at your local auto parts store like advanced auto or something similar.

How many miles do you have on the car?

I agree that it is most likely alternator although the symptoms are almost like the ignition switch being turned off (which still could be alternator and/or connections) If you are going more than 45 Mph press and hold the ignition switch...this will turn off the engine, press it twice to go back into the run position and the car will "jerk a bit" and the engine will restart without the starter motor. ThinBlue82 has the right suggestion, if you don't have the test gear, then take it to a local auto parts store to have the alternator/charging system checked.
