I'm not sure, but it mostly depends on the dealer. Every dealer is different. I know two Nissan dealers not 10 miles apart, and I swear it's like going from Birmingham, Al to Houston, TX; just two different worlds. One dealer always seems to have way too much going on to handle service issues b/c they are too busying selling cars, while the other seems to covet servicing vehicles and never seems to have too much going on in the lot.

Come to think of it, I think I read somewhere that dealers make most of their income servicing cars they've already sold, and this might explain why the latter dealer spends so much time and effort on their service department.
