2010 Maxima Belt or Chains?
Recently I've heard some slight whir sound regularly, I guess I need to replace the timing belt. So I called up my mechanic and he told me maxima uses the chains. But I saw the following post, didn't they talk about the belt? I am confused:

1) There is a timing chain that synchronizes the crankshaft with the camshaft. On some cars this is a belt that must be replaced around 90k miles. It is a complex and expensive job. Luckily Maxima owners have a chain that does not need replacing.
2) Almost all cars, including the Maxima, have a serpentine belt that runs accessories like the alternator and the A/C compressor. This belt is relatively easy to replace.
