Buying a 2012 maxima with 113,000 miles?

I'm thinking on buying a 2012 Maxima from someone I know for 7,500. First of all Is this a good deal... for this year and mileage? My only problem is that the car has 113,000 miles and don't know if it'll need any major work done cause of the age. My buddy said that he did maintenance often and only used synthetic oil aswell as premium gas... So has anyone out there experienced any problems with your cars around this mileage? Thanks.

KBB values the car (assuming good condition and SV trim) at a private party range of $7,756-10,123 so it seems like a good deal. People around the forum don't seem to have major issues with the car and nothing seems to be going out over 100,000 miles. I would just double check the services (brakes, CVT fluid, etc.) and if you're from the north make sure there's no sign of rust as a result of salted roads. If you're serious about buying it, take it to a mechanic to have it evaluated before making a final decision.

I purchased a 2009 with 94000 miles 3 weeks ago and it runs fantastic! I gave $8000 for an SV at the Auction so that sounds like a solid deal to me.
