7th gen HID headlights...

I have a 2012 maxima and have been doing a few things to it since i have owned it. Im into headlights with black housings or halos but my car has the factory HID package and I've had some trouble finding new housings or really any option to switch from my stock headlights... wondering what options i do have and where i can get them, anything helps!

With HID.. you only have one option.. The Headlights from a Sport Maxima... They have black accents.. All those cheap Ebay headlights are for Halogen with a different projector. Tyc is a great aftermarket and can be had for around $700 for the pair... Oem is around $750 each for the Sport HID.

I haven't tried them myself but send them a message, maybe he'll respond.

Replace the stock HIDs with LEDS you won't regret it... I'm running OPT 7 Fluxbeam X2s and love them... you have to get the conversion harness to go from your female stock Matsu****a (HID) plug, male end to the 9006 LED end... fairly straightforward easy install.

here is the harness you have to get to do the install... I would unpin the wires if I were you and hard solder them because the crimping on the pins suck...if you don't after 4 months you'll have a headlight go out and keep thinking it's the bulb lol. The black housing headlights are your typical ebay cheap set, I love them as well...just remember you're going to have to jack them up about 3 inchest at 10' when adjusting as the projector cutoff line is set way too low from the factory... at night there is no better light. I've had all kinds of HID and this is the absolute best way to go in terms of technology that we currently have as of right now...

and if you're going full on that route you might as well replace your turn signals with led that burn bright white and turn amber when signaled

I just put the exact headlights on mine with 6500k LED Fogs/Low Beams/High Beams. Went with these lights because I never saw anyone with them until now.

I have these same headlights. Mine are made by Lumen. I have stock hid headlights and have been trying to convert to halogen h11(which is what fits these aftermarket headlights) for weeks now. I saw this and immediately ordered the adapter conversion harness you mentioned and thought my problems were solved. Only to learn 9006 does not connect to a h11 bulb nor does a 9006 bulb fit in the headlight housing of the h11 bulb.

so my question to you is, do your aftermarket headlights take 9006 bulbs for your low beams? Or do those fluxbeams have a female 9006 end that is connected to the led bulb that fits in the h11 housing socket? Also I have yet to find the exact led bulbs you mentioned. Which has caused many of my questions to be left unanswered. This has been such a stressful and roller coaster of emotions. I’ve had these headlights for 4 weeks now.

I also can not find a conversion harness as a female 9006 to a male h11 which I thought I’d I found I could connect to the hid to 9006 conversion harness. Then I thought I’d I bought the female 9006 socket by itself and a h11 male connector by itself I could make my own conversion harness. But I am having difficulty finding those parts.

please help I jus want to be able to install these headlights.

thank you.

So I ordered that same type of adapter (Matsu****a Male > 9006 Female) OE Ballast > 9006 Adapter mentioned earlier and had the same issue that my headlight assembly will fit an H11 bulb type.

I ordered mine from LightWerkz and told them the 9006 female wouldn't be compatible with my after market headlights. After calling their support, they told me they could unpin the 9006 female connection and use an H11 female connection instead so it would be a Matsu****a Male > H11 Female. Hopefully this helps your search for a solution for your headlights. I can post an update once they arrive and are installed.

Replacing HID/Xenon Factory Headlights

I hope someone can help me out, I am trying to replace my HID/xenon factory headlights and switch them over to LED. How can I do this Ive been searching all over and cant find anyone or youtube videos to do it. People say they have the setup for HID and saying they can replace them but not saying or showing how. My mechanic is saying I would have to purchase a headlight with everything already built in, please help.

Get rid of the over priced HID units! Lol... DZG LED bulbs are incredibly inexpensive on Amazon and are also available with white/yellow switchback option. I've done headlights, high beams, and fog lamps. Highly recommend!
