My trunk suddenly won’t open!!!

I’m having issues opening my trunk. I’ve already:

-Checked the valet switch
-Checked any fuses that may be related to the trunk
-Put a test light to the main harness that connects to the latch and verified it’s getting power
-Notice the car beeps multiple times when I attempt to release the trunk

Also since I’ve been having trouble with the trunk:
-Cargo light does not light up when I manually pull the emergency trunk release
-License Plate lights flicker when trunk is open and stay solid when I press the exterior, interior and fob trunk release
-License Plate lights do not illuminate when the headlights are on

Ive looked all over the internet without any solid solutions. Before I come to the conclusion that the actual trunk latch going bad I wanted to see if any of the other issues are related. Any useful feedback is appreciated. Thank you I’m advance for taking the time out to read this thread!

I had the same issue. The cause is the bundle of wires running the flexible part running between the body and the trunk lid. Pull back the flexible cover and I'll bet the wires will be frayed or broken. I ended up replacing a lot of the wires with a more flexible wire.
