headlight help

So I have a 2009 SV Maxima with factory hid's. I recently purchased a set of aftermarket headlights that are not set up for factory hid's. I was looking at LED conversion kits and was wondering if this was the way to go. any tips would be helpful.

Led are good looking. Nice nwhite with hint of blue but unless your car came with oem LED like the new Acura’s then it’s not going to be as bright as HID. Think about the cars that actual have LED as the primary light source when driving at night. Not the led accents. Acura RDX for example actually has 7 individual LED lights in each housing to produce its light.

Now if your not a night rider, then led can work. If not just return the headlights and get the right ones or just buy a good aftermarket HID kit

well i was wondering if that was the route was the way to go the new headlights have a different port for where the original hid bulb went. was just wondering if there was anyone else who had switched over from the original factory hid setup to go with aftermarket headlight assembly that wasnt set up for the hid bulb and ballast. ill include a picture of the back of both the original

d aftermarket headlights.

Yeah halogen and HID bulbs are completely different. I switched from halogen to HID.

What you can do is order an HID kit that will fit whatever bulb your new headlight takes.
