3rd Brake Light Replacement
Hey All,
I have a problem with the 3rd brake light. It's not currently out but it's very dim. Figured I could just replace it easily but then I searched and quickly found out it's a "Dealer Only" part.
Has anyone found an aftermarket solution for replacing it?
I've only been able to find it in 2 places, one being the dealer. Both O.E.M parts and are $80+.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, the high mounted brake light.
According to the dealer, I need to buy the entire housing to the tune of $140.
I did find a site with just the LED unit, still $80.
I'm thinking I might just have to bite the bullet and order the unit.
Feels like an absurd amount to spend on a brake light "bulb"

Remember, this isn't a "bulb" but an led assy on a ckt board.. I ordered mine from courtesy. As you mention, they are expensive so I got the whole unit (shell and led assy) for just a few more bucks. Easy replacement and good as new. But it is still pricey imho.
