Wagner Rotors, opinions?
Wagner Rotors, opinions?
Hello,
I need rear and front rotors. I explored my Nissan options and honestly don't feel like paying 90+ for a value advantage ones, expensive given the quality, and not very patient for long waiting orders
I came across Wagner 126471E and126253E (around $40 each from Rock Auto). Along with Akebono pads.
Are these rotors good for a reasonably quiet driver?

Always keep in mind. You get what you pay for. When I got my akebono calipers I went with “cheap” rotors. They had decent reviews. Less then a week later, warped.
I buy my brakes from R1 concepts now. Great quality and decent price. I have a 15% off coupon next order if your interested. Expires on the 7th. Let me know

They were bedded. Even took them off and tried to clean them thinking perhaps the pads distributed material unevenly. Nothing. Thought maybe the pads themselves might have been glazed during the process. Nothing. Garbage.
The new rotors and pads had very specific bedding process. Very smooth when braking now. Even from very high speeds

I run these same rotors on my 2003. They fit your 7th gen. Great rotors.
I wouldn't worry too much about brand for rears. And if you need rotors, you need pads.
There is a burnishing procedure in the FSM, but if you get quality iron, you don't need it. Just drive easy on them for a few miles then go about your life.
