NS-2 vs NS-3

What is the difference between Nissan NS-2 CVT fluid versus Nissan NS-3. &, should I go to NS-3 when I change out the fluid in my 2014 max?

NS-3 is a thinner mix, made for a newer generation of CVT than what is in the 7th gen. I've always stuck to NS-2 as I've never heard that NS-3 can be back-spec'd safety.
