Limp mode

GE members I have a 14 sv. It's going into limp mode whenever it rains hard. Does anyone know what would be causing this

Any flashing lights displayed right before going into limp mode? Are there any stored codes?

You're kidding right? Please give more info, how was it behaving before limp mode, any warning lights lit on the dash, codes stored? Etc, hard to give any advice just by it goes into limp mode when it rains hard.

That's an easy one, there's a loose nut behind the wheel.

Pull your codes, there may be a pending list. If it is going into limp mode, it will throw codes. Have a scanner ready next time. I use the Torque app and the BAFIX OBD dongle.

Amazon Amazon

Let us know.

I would start with that right there, MAF sensor may have a code pending even if there's no check engine light on at this time you may have a pending code. Start there.

You still don't have it? 😷
Good affordable dongle the BAFX. Don't listen to reviews saying it just read basic OBD data. The type of data depend on the app not on the dongle (at least this one can read all CAN bus data). The magic lies in the PIDs.
