Hi guys my key fob battery died and I tried putting the key fob into the slot under the dash to start the car, but the screen says Please insert key into slot. It seems like the slot doesn't read the key. I tried it with my second key too (Even with the battery in).

If the key has a working battery and it is in the car (not in the slot) it will start, but if it's in the slot it will not start.

The slot does light up when I put a key in.

Any ideas how to fix this? Can I reprogram the slot somehow?
