Rear Shocks

Debating on which rear shock to use....either Monroe or KYB....on the KYB can you use the Sport shocks on a non-sport? Are they a little firmer?

Thanks!

Been running the Monroe rear shocks for quite some time. However I have KYB struts on my 280 so no complaints there either. Just get the ones made for your model.

I would also suggest you get the ones specific to your model. They are probably not the same size and you may have issues if you do not use ones specifically made for your non sport. I believe There is probably more to the sport suspension than just the different shocks. The springs are probably a different size also.

I would not use either. If you want to use something other than OEM, use Bilstien on Nissan. KYB is mainly used on Toyota and Monroe work better on domestic vehicles.

You must be new here. Not a lot of selection on shocks and struts.

If it were me in your situation and knowing what I now know, I would buy Sachs shocks from Rock Auto. They are the OEM supplier (at least for the front struts) and they're less than half the price of Nissan-branded shocks.

If you have a Sport model, your choices will be quite limited, though....I didn't see where you specified the year and trim level of your car.
