Transmission Swap Options

I currently have a 2009 Maxima and am looking to swap over to a more reliable trans that can hold more power. I heard about a Jaguar dual-clutch automatic that can hold significantly more power than the stock cvt. I just want to know exactly what trans this is or if there are any others that can be swapped in relatively easy and would be able to hold at least 500hp reliably as that is my power goal for my build.

Since you have lost or misplaced your ability to Google. I Googled the words, "Jaguar dual clutch transmission" and found this information:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_8HP_transmission

8HP is ZF Friedrichshafen AG's trademark name for its eight-speed automatic transmission models (8-speed transmission with Hydraulic converter and Planetary gearsets) for longitudinal engine applications, designed and built by ZF's subsidiary in Saarbrücken.

Next determine how you will install a transmission designed for longitudinal engines in your FWD Maxima.

Are you looking for only an “automatic” option? You could always do a 6speed swap. IMO the best shop for a trans swap is nisformance down in Nc. I’ve seen his swaps in person. Attention to detail is second to none !!!
