Ran out of gas last night now it will not start. Fuel filter location? Is it built in with fuel pump?

The pump and filter are integral and located in the tank. Granted the pump is probably toast but did you check the fuses?

I hear the pump priming on initial start. Any way the clean filter other than replacing the whole thing? Would the pump still make noise if burned out?

A question and a suggestion. How much gas did you put in the tank? Prime the fuel system by running the fuel pump for a minute or two before starting.

Have a half a tank in it like 6-7 gallons.. how do I prime I’ve been turning off and on the car. Meaning hitting the button twice till all the beeping stops and then off again done that multiple times. I’m thinking of just replacing the pump since I believe the filter is clogged

The fuel pump primes the system by running. When you ran out of gas the fuel lines ran dry. Run the pump for a couple of minutes to prime the system before you attempt a start.
