Battery isolator ground.
Battery isolator ground.
So I just installed a battery isolator for my dual battery setup. On my secondary battery, my amp is grounded to the negative terminal and that terminal is grounded to the chassis. Works great. Today I took the isolator ground and put it with the amp ground on the negative terminal on the secondary battery. Just want to make sure that's ok. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks
I appreciate it. I definitely will. I'll take some after work or at some point this week. I'm just worried about that isolator ground. I may move it off the battery. I'm gonna test with my multi meter first. I should've done it after I installed it. This is how the whole install has been. Do something then find out I should've done something else . Lol. I'm new to it so.... Thanks for the kind words.
You doubt yourself too much. There is no better location than where you currently have it grounded. Every circuit in every car ultimately grounds back to the negative battery terminal. You've started several threads recently. If you screwed anything up I'd have told you by now.

Oh no, I forgot. Lol.. my bad. I'm installing a jvc 7" touch screen tomorrow. I'll take pics after that for sure. Pretty cool that you're interested! I'm staying at 14.1 volts. Very happy everything is working good.
So I install the head unit today and surprise, it doesn't work. Won't go past the settings screen. I swear I have no luck. Well maybe some, Crutchfield is going to send me a new one, better one with a free ready wire harness. Boss is replacing the busted jvc. It was just a $53 difference. It'll be here Thursday. Shouldn't take long to install. Just frustrating is all. My dash is sticky, cracked around the radio and air vents. I made it worse today too prying on it. Gonna fix those areas too. Pics will come eventually. Lol
