Exclamation Bad Motor Mounts

I recently just purchased a used 2012 Maxima with 103,000 miles 15 months power-train warranty. I took this beauty on a test drive everything was nice and smooth etc. Now I dive the car home park it at my mothers house for personal reasons. Not even 48hrs I drive it to the gas station to get gas. I haven't even driven the car for 18 miles from the dealership. As I'm driving with the music on i here a clunking noise from the front of the car more toward the front right passengers side. It felt like the fender was rubbing against the tire or something is loose. I pullover and come to find out nothing is visually wrong with the car I continue to drive. Ive got to my destination which was 5 minutes away prior to hearing that sound I parked with the engine running the noise is still present. I called the dealership to let them know the current situation. I have the car towed it asap. Come to find out their technician states the motor mounts are bad. Has anyone with this Gen experienced bad motor mounts or could give some insight to the symptoms of bad motor mounts? Do these types of problems just happen or there are signs that show over time that hey this part is worn it needs to be replaced?

Thats funky motor mounts being replaced after 100k. I hope they do take care of it. I could only imagine the labor that has to be done but they should have know the car in and out before selling it to someone.

Did you see or hear any type of issues with them before they went bad? How long has it been since you replace them? Did you have warranty when you bought the car?
