LCA replacement and what else

Happy Saturday (cold in Houston) morning -
I bought a 2013 Maxima with 100k miles on it. Lower control arms need replacing, so bought some Moog. While I'm replacing these, what else should I look at doing, while I'm down there? I saw a video of a guy replaying sway bar links, but have no idea. I'm very mechanical, but this is my first time doing any suspension work on any car, so looking for some direction? Of course, if anyone wants to come over and help, I'm all about buying the beer, lunch, etc., and anything else

This will definitely be a learning experience for me....in prep for working on my GX

Thanks in advance -
Mark

Actually, after a bit of reading on another generation forum (4th gen), I now understand the recommended parts.
LCAs (have these)
Sway Bar Link kits (need these)
Time to order.

Easy stuff. I would add outer tie rods to the list. Other than that, inspect and replace til your heart's content. The three components mentioned here are usually the major contributors to front end clunks. Take pics and keep us informed.

Other than the advice of the one video on YouTube I see for a 7th generation LCA replacement, any other advice? I cannot seem to get the ball joint connection back in. In fact, I think I torn the boot.

Not sure man. But you should replace the ball joint if the boot is compromised.

i don't recall any issues reconnecting mine. Are you doing both sides? Perhaps trying to put right side on the left? Or did you get one made for a different year or make? Something sounds off.

Yeah, I think this repair is going to be more expensive than my having it done. . I guess I'm going to have to order my second (drivers-side) LCA. Trying to put the ball-joint back in, after getting the other parts in place seems to have positioned it so that the boot got torn where the ball joint is (sharp metal). fark! However, even after ordering, I'm not sure I can get that darn thing back in place... I haven't been successful yet.

I only have the side lifted that I'm doing. Maybe I need both sides (of the front) lifted? When trying to get the arm back in and jacking up the brake rotor, every so slightly, the front drive shaft came out :|. I had to push it back in, but I still can't get the LCA in place, to get the ball-joint in...
It's definitely the correct side and replacement, but my inexperience is showing

Just to wrap this thread up, I ended up hiring a mobile mechanic to come help with getting the LCAs back on. After watching him wack some of the parts with a small sledge hammer, I realized I could not have done this myself.
