AC high pressure side spikes

Hi,my 2009 nissan maxima's ac went out last week. The clutch was not engaging so I replaced the cluch. The clucth would not engage so been trying to figure it out why.Anyway this morning I started it up and now it is engaging. But it is spiking on high pressure side, then clutch disengages.Keeps cycling like this, and after a few cycles seems to run normal for a while, then starts cycling again. My inexpensive obd2 reader is not showing any codes.Anyone have any idea of what might be going on,would appreciate any info about this, thanks

Spiking? If you share your pressure readings I am sure we would be able to give you some guidance.

When clutch would kick in the high pressure side would spike to 450 and the pressure switch would kick it off.Released a little refrigerant and now compressor is staying on,but when it kicks on high side spikes to about 350 then back down to180.Low side about 34.It's about 80 degrees, with compressor off low side is at 46 and high 125.Blowing cold at about 48 degrees. Thanks

Sounds like fans aren't working and/or the coils are very dirty. Could even be a bad expansion valve. But those arent the worst numbers i have seen. What is telling is your temps are very good.

Fans are working fine and coils look good.I was thinking maybe the expansion valve also.A friend coming over tomorrow with a much better analyzer than what I have.Curious to see if that finds anything.
