I have a weird dilemma with my 2010 Maxima. If I'm inside the car but a door or window is open, I can hear this deep-sounding, fast heartbeat-like noise (almost like the bass in a pop dance song) coming from the engine area. If I lift the hood, I can also hear it. Above is a link to the video I uploaded to Youtube (you can hear it around the 0:08 and again a few seconds later)

• I am 150% certain my speakers & audio are OFF.
• I recently got the P2A03 code which refers to "A/F Sensor1 (B2)" according to the BlueDriver OBDII app. Could that be causing this noise?

I definitely hear it but I'm sorry I don't know what it could be.

 

No worries. It might be a placebo effect but I feel like I can smell the exhaust. Definitely wondering if the air flow sensor is acting up causing not only the noise but the fuel to burn rich.

 

this sounds like the beginning of engine knock. my 2014 maxima started like this and got worse. there's a bulletin for it, there is an issue with a bearing and they fixed it for free. Keep an eye out and if it gets worse definitely take it in.
