So I have a 2010 my check engine light came on and it said transmission pressure switch and then I had one say transmission pressure low. I have 250,000 mi and I was just curious if I should change out the fluid and the switch or am I too high in mileage to change out the fluid.and anything on those codes that may help would be appreciated.

 

Well, you dont mention any previous preventative maintenance so not sure but doing a drain and fill and changing the external filter is a relatively cheap try.

 

I was told not to do that since I have such high mileage and I don't believe it's been done certainly hasn't been done since I bought the car at 127000.
