Timing chain

What is the easiest way to diagnose a bad timing chain?

2010 Nissan Maxima

Thanks

Noise, one user on here heard a clipclop sound at idle. Or you can hear the chain slap under acceleration.

I just did a compression test. Very low compression, 90/70/60 the head caskets were just done six months ago. Is the engine shot? Or is this common with the timing chain?

Appreciate the info
