I got $3000 of MSRP in 2008 when the 7th gen came out. Question is what are the finance rates they are offering?

My pre-order came in and I originally got MSRP offer ("we don't need to give a discount" attitude). When I was getting up to walk away, I got $1K off MSRP. At worst, I'll pay invoice but not a penny more. Good thing I have time on my side. Funny thing is they ordered my color combo, refunded me my deposit, and now have to sell that car (hopefully to me!).

^Well hopefully they'll call you back, but chances are they won't. They're banking on some sucker coming in and paying full retail since the car just came out.

I get the Nissan 'Friends and Family' rate, which immediately takes the price down to just below invoice. But the three dealers nearest me (owned by the same person, who I know personally, and with whom I have dealt exclusively for twenty years) all have a several thousand bucks 'availability' pack over MSRP that they still add to the special price I get, which means I essentially lose my 'Friends and Family' discount unless I wait till the 'availability' pack drops off.

Plus, I pay cash up front, so they can't make any money by financing my purchase.

So it may be July or later before I actually get my 8th gen.
