Shorter power train warranty

Shorter power train warranty
I was wondering about the warranty. Looked it up (it's not mentioned on the nissan site kinda hidden) and the basic warranty is 36k/3 years and the power train warranty is 60k/6 years... That's pretty much a deal breaker for me. This 120k power train warranty I have on my '10 brings priceless peace of mind.

Yes monte is correct, all 2002? To 2010 nissan with cvt got the extended warranty, however it's only for the transmission and does not warrant the entire power train. That was a sign of good faith from nissan telling there owners they stand by there product in addition to major cvt issues that were had in the early years

It was 2007 when the Maxima switched to CVT...so ya...2007-2010 models. I had the 2007 back then and received the information in the mail about my transmission warranty being extended to 120k miles and 10 yrs. I had it for over 86k miles and only issue was a passenger side rear wheel bearing during that time.

well im not worried about the engine thats bullet proof. We all know this car was delayed over a year due to the cvt issues they were having with the altima... If the car does not sale they will have no choice but to bump the warranty up for people like me cause I aint biting... I dont even have 60k miles on my '10 yet...
