Any recent mods to your 8th gen?

Hello all,
I just wanted to share what I have done to my car lately.

I added a 5% tint on the back, 35% front

I also switched the reverse lights to ijdmtoy Xenon White T10 LED bulbs.

Next I plan on adding an HID kit, since mine doesn't come stock.

Were the reverse lights a pain in the rear to change? Also, did you have to upgrade the fuse or install resistors?

I changed the reverse lights on mine with LED, super easy to change out as they are in the trunk lid. Just need to remove a couple of the pins and remove the carpet covering. I actually changed out the license plate bulbs with LED's as well at the same time. And no, resistors or fuses are not needed.

Would you happen to know the bulb size for the front turn signals? I'm looking to get the bulbs that are silver colored when not lit, and amber when they are lit.

Thanks in advance.

That white with some amounts of black trim really makes the Maxima look sharp. Makes me wish I would of chosen that color

Spidgeon, what LED bulbs did you use for your fog lights?

I just installed these exact LEDs. They are not as bright as the stock bulbs. They are a nice white color, but if you're looking for something bright, these are not for you.

For some reason I am unable to insert pictures anymore. I can upload them and they show in my albums, but when I click the "Insert" button, they do not appear in the post.

Cool how to modify my Maxima 2016 SL

I just got this car in september and this car turns heads all day long! I was thinking of putting some all season tires racing...you know smaller tires and maybe lower the car a inch or so to make up for the gap that will be left from switching to smaller tires-I have 18 inch wheels. some people have told me that it might mess the car up if I do that? But I don't want them grand ma tires on it they are do thick I want to spice it up a little. What do you guys/gals think? Recomendations? By the way the only thing that I have done to the car is tinted the windows darker than the law allows, but so far no cops have pulled me over. Thanks

do you know how to turn all the front lights off when you are parked and have the car running? I almost had road rage incident because I wanted the car to warm up while waiting for someone, and the guy parked in front of me didn't like the lights on shinning in his face.

Can you turn them off with the headlight switch on the left side of the steering wheel? Maybe you left them on automatic control. I'm assuming it was night. That might sound dumb, but I'm not familiar with this year Max, and I know I'm prone to overlooking things. Usually you can switch them from the settings off-auto-parking-on.

Push your emergency break down prior to starting the car and the lights will stay off until it's released

Blacked out the entire roof and trim. Also the crome on the grill and trunk crome

. Will do the door handles and outer trim next. Also have a spoiler king lip spoiler that will be panted gloss black and stillen diffuser to install. The diffuser I received had some of the Matt black paint coming off so they are sending me a new one.

Order switchbacks and add resistors. 5000k daytime and night then flips to amber when your turn signals are on. It's what I did on my 2011 & with put in my 16. 😁

It's funny, as the car is being worked on, it's doing it's imitation of a patient asking for pain meds. I'm getting maintenance alerts from the Nissan Connect Services.

Can you tell if the new backup lamps project more light than stock to enable the backup camera to have more resolution in an area with no overhead lighting? I'll try these if that would help.

Got my 2016 Platinum in Pearl White on Thanksgiving. First mod I did was installing a car seat in the backseat for my 2 year old. That counts right? I know I can't be the only guy with little ones if we're all driving 4DSC.
