A few minor "defects" (if you can call them that)
A few minor "defects" (if you can call them that)
1) Changing the color of the car in the start up / welcome animation does not work. I change the color via the settings menu and yet it still shows a light grey car.
2) After starting, the left hand toggle on the steering wheel will not change programmed XM stations for the first minute or so. After that it works fine.
3) Braking in Sport Mode seems to have some unnecessary pulses... ransom, split second, sharp stabs at the brake in what is an otherwise smooth braking curve.
Anyone else notice these?
No big deals, obviously, but I will mention them to my dealer this week. Nissan (and any other company launching a new vehicle) needs the feedback to get things just right.

I have the 2016 SV and can attest to the minor issues. Nothing is a deal breaker by any means and I love love love this car.
To contribute what I've noticed with your issues as well as a few tiny other ones:
The color car icon does change, just not in the startup screen. It shows my Deep Blue Pearl color on the Nav screen when no destination is set and it shows which direction you are facing. Weird that it doesn't change for the startup because I'd love to show my friends that.
The SXM channels won't even change in my car by pressing the icons on the touch screen for the first minute or so. If you press a few presets then when the system finally loads it goes through them from when you pressed a minute ago. I am guessing the nav system is loading all of the other information, like the icons and map data, so the actual channels might be loaded close to last. Not basing that off of any prior knowledge, just the icons load last and then you can finally change the channel.
My own nitpicks:
Unlocking the car in my 7th Generation 2010 - I could press the thumb button on the door twice quickly in succession to unlock all of the doors/lock all of the doors. Same with the key fob. On this model, you have to wait a fraction of a second longer as it won't receive the second command. Anyone else notice this? Nothing major, but messes with my OCD mind where I was used to the quick click-click.
My android phone won't charge through either of the dual USB chargers in the dash. I had to put a cigarette charger in the arm rest and charge from there. My phone sees that a USB is connected but won't charge. My wife's iPhone charges and takes over the stereo as soon as you plug it in.
My two climate control ***** - the temperature controls for each zone feel a little cheap when they turn. Not smooth like the volume control ****. Wonder if it's just mine?
LOVE
I put a bunch of songs on a low profile USB thumb drive - as I had with my 7th Gen. In the 7th gen the USB would always take over the stereo input after a few seconds of starting the car and would always start the music at the first file on the drive. In the 2016 music picks back up where it left off continuously no matter how many times you turn the car on and off. LOVE THIS. Helps make up for the slow SXM connection issue.

What is type of Phone type and Software version? I think I had this issue before I changed my phone.
Ok I was running Windows 8.1 on HTC one M8. I did find on google, that if you use a "Charge only cord" it should work. I'm not sure exactly how it works but basically some USB cords transfer data and charge; other cords just charge. Apparently, for your phone and my phone we need a charge only cable. I hope that helps, here are some links i found on the topics:

Another one to add to the list....
I shut my drivers side door the other day and heard noise coming from the mirror. It sounded like a piece of metal rattling around inside the housing of the mirror. Kept opening and shutting the door and small, metal clip fell out. The power mirror still works but it's still a little odd. Anyone else having problems with their mirrors?
