I know this is a Maxima Forum - but I continue to see the carping about the Altima - from design to configuration to features to pricing - today NISSAN has released the new models and pricing on the 2016 Altima here: http://nssn.co/GMb9UI

Not trying to stir the pot but what are your thoughts?

 

Had a 2088 and 2013 Altima and loved them. Owned several Maximas before that. Just bought Maxima SR and glad I did. Different feeling driving the Max, tons of compliments from people and overall a way better driving experience. Not knocking the Altima but no comparison to the new Max...Interior wise the Maxima blows the Altima away IMO.

 

The Max definitely covers the luxury side of design in comparison to the Altima. Like Scott said, the new is very nice. I'd say exterior wise is pretty unique as well. Altimas seem to be much more common. In my area, with Maximas 04 and on, it's an easy 100:1 Altima to Maxima ratio.

 

The new Altima is nice in its own way, but to me it continues to have a kind of dowdy look to it ... a little heavy-looking and not nearly as crisp and athletic as the Maxima.

I just wish the Maxima didn't have such an Altima-looking rear end.
