Rattle in back when driving

Over the past couple days I have been hearing a bad rattle in back, it comes and goes.. I can't figure out where it is coming from, anyone else have this issue?

If you have lowered one of the back seats recently, you may want to make sure it is securely locked back into position. If someone has sat in the back, it's possible for the seatbelt to get twisted and the buckle to rattle against the inside door or pillar. You could also check the fold-down center arm rest. Those are the "easy" things to check first.

I haven't had a rattle, but I had a situation last week where I kept getting a soft 'thump' from somewhere behind me. While checking for the source, my first look was in the trunk. Turns out an orange had escaped from one of those flimsy plastic grocery bags and was rolling freely around the trunk.

At times in the past, I have had luck having my wife drive the car while I sat near where the sound seemed to be coming from, and listened, tapped, shook, knocked on, wiggled everything I could reach until I found the source of the noise.

Yeah, I once had a service manager ride on my hood while I drove around the block in order to pinpoint an engine noise (his idea).
