Zman 16 SR with Mods

I sell cars. I love cars. I love mods. Check out my new pearl white 2016 Nissan Maxima SR. I've got my mods in the sig pic. Diode Dynamics will have my car in January to install and test all available lighting upgrades. They're hooking me up with RGBW boards for the running lights and upgrading every compatible bulb for the 8 gen. The products should be available for purchase shortly after my car is returned. Wish us luck! Enjoy the pics. I will be buying and installing coilovers as soon as a reputable company develops the product. I'll be dumping this car on 20's ASAP. Questions and comments are welcome.
This is my second maxima.

I pick up my car on Friday to see all the new goodies my car will have. Base Nissan Sentra was provided as a rental while my headlights are at the retro fit shop. Heard something about tails as turn signals and switchback DRL's. Very excited to go get it!

hate Chrome

Do you have a DIY for pulling the chrome pieces? Any thoughts on the chrome door handles? Also there are a couple roof spoilers out there, I really like yours, what is the style?

The vinyl was laid over the chrome as it was still on the car when we installed. I want to spray the handles in white. My roof spoiler was a shadow speed spoiler from eBay for my 7gen. The part fits great. It is about half an inch short on each side but is so close I didn't care. No reason to spend extra 100$ on a new one. I like the fact that it is just a bit short. Keeps it looking slick.
Feel free to ask questions. I've been modding my cars since 16. I'm 30 this year! Oh ****.

Hey now nothing wrong with being 30, I'm 33 this year. I have been modding sice 16 as well. First Nissan, I've been a BMW guy my whole life. Starting with NOS on an M3, lol.. Sorry I just sent you a PM, didnt see your response. I want to do the LEDs in the fogs, but hear bad things with condensation. I will be doing 20's in the next month or two, then a basic drop. I am not going to go crazy on this ride. I just want to black out all the chrome, I hate chrome. So you literally just put it on while everything was on the car?? How difficult was that? I have a 16 Platinum, Gun Metal with black interior. Sorry for the long story.

I should have a better idea of the lighting upgrades in the next couple days, I get my car back on Friday. I want 20's, the cost on the wheels is about 1900 or so plus tires...800-900$ in tires and add coils at about 1000$ this will be an expensive project.
I am not a fan of chrome trim on my vehicles. I know a good tint/vinyl installer that I have worked with for years. I bought the car on a Wednesday night and had it at the tint shop the next day. I had to schedule an appointment for the next Thursday to do the vinyl work.
My installer did the front grille, roof, rear trim and all the side trim plus the mirror markers. I did not do the handles in vinyl due to needing to remove them for a perfect finish. I do plan to paint or wrap the handles in pearl white.
Paint would have been the best option, but is also the most expensive. You can remove the grille and rear trim rather easily, but the side door trim is very flimsy when removed and easily damaged upon removal.
The cheapest method and looks the cheapest is plasti dip @ 7$ a can. Tape off all paint and spray away. leaves a matte/flat finish and is removable
Vinyl is cheap to purchase depending on the product and is easy to work with. You will need to use a razor and trim all the vinyl to size.
I wanted the chrome delete immediately so I had this as rather inexpensive option that I could have asap.
I did not do the vinyl install, but several members have tried this and had plenty of success. The great thing about vinyl is that if you don't like how it looks you peel it off and start over.
You should check out the 8 gen maxima FB group. Plenty of members and lots more pictures. Have you seen java_max?
He has a full wrap on his 8 gen maxima and he has the top 8 gen right now.

Ok, one more question, what did you do to your DTRL's to make them blue?

I looked under the hood of my SL and noticed something that looks like it could be a strut tower bar, but now I'm wondering why Stlbluzoo11 installed the Racingline one in his SR and if there were any improvements.

I think for the look but the SR oem is better because is a 3 point strut bar makes the frame more Strong vs 2 point bar i like it to but is better the oem

Thanks for the pic! Yep that is what I have, but it doesn't look to be adding much. Torque steer is still an issue on my car. Is no one else noticing this? I also don't mean to take away from the OP...so I can start another thread if need be.

That is what I was expecting to see Stlbluzoo11! Did you notice any improvement with the Racingline strut bar?

I know it's a more aggressive and tight steering feel. More braces will stiffen up the suspension and car. I added this a few days after purchase and I can't really remember how firm the ride was. Prior to install. This is actually a 7GM strut bar. The SR has a more firm suspension than other models and I prefer a firm feel in the suspension.
This Racingline part did require additional washers to be added for the bar to clear the manifold. I had to use some sound deadening material under the bar to eliminate vibration from the manifold onto the bar.
I know there is another max using the stillen strut bar for the last generation maxima and that bar had interference with a break line. He was able to wrap the line and eliminate the vibration.
