Has anyone removed the front grill emblem?

I was wondering if anyone removed the front grill emblem cause i feel like the car would look so much better without it. Or has anyone plastidipped the front emblem black? How does it look?

dipping it looks good. But i was wondering if i removed it if there would be a nasty looking hole where the emblem was on the grill.

From the manual that someone posted online
The emblem has a front the Nissan logo that snaps into the grill part
So by looking at the exploded view
Removing it doesn't look like it would work

My 2 cents

Where are the front camera and front 'closing rate' sensor located? I seem to remember hearing that one of them 'looks' through the lower half of the hamburger.

You can see the camera in lowriderman's picture, under the second 'S'.

I removed and painted mine black while I had the bumper off. I am pretty sure you cant pop it off without removing the bumper.

I can see 3 of the 4 tabs you need to press to get the emblem off after removing the plastic cover, but I could not get my hands in there. I believe removing the bumper is necessary unless you could train a small child to reach in there and not break anything.

Can I get a top view of your hood? Definitely on that train. It looks like they don't follow the angles of the car, it looks like they curve out

Someone on here completely deleted it by cutting it out, filling holes in, etc. it was a while ago so need to find that thread again... it looked really clean but did take some work

EDIT : Here's the link, found it: https://maxima.org/forums/8th-genera...ima-grill.html

Some ******* stole my emblem yesterday. He also tried to grab the fog lights and spoiled my bumper. But ya this is how it would look it without the emblem.

For you, 2019-2020 folks, do not try to remove emblem assembly on front! It is a sealed unit containing the front camera so covering it as is still a big no-no
