2016 Maxima SR Custom Magnaflow exhaust

Hi everyone,
Just had my new Magnaflow exhaust installed. Decided to go this route to save a couple of bucks. It's pretty mild until you give it some gas. I just wanted to post something to give you an idea of what it sounds like, since everywhere I looked I didn't really see anything for our 8th gen Maxima's.

Cheers,

Duffmaster

I wanted some oval tips to make it appear more stock.

Those sound fantastic! Can you list what parts/model # of Magnaflow exhausts were used in this custom build in case we want to get the same sound at our local shop?

Thanks

This sounds really good, also interested in the parts list and model numbers. I assume this was welded in some fashion?

Now the question is...Magnaflow or Stillen?

It sounds good on the driveby. What I would hate is a droning or "mooing" noise some of the Infiniti's sound like with after market mufflers.

The exhaust is surprisingly very quiet. Hardly noticeable when driving on city streets/freeway. I love it. *I owned a 2007 altima with a cat back exhaust from Stillen. That did drone on our longer trips, but with this setup, I have had no issues. *It's even wife approved!!! *That was the last thing I wanted to deal with is her complaining about the noise. It's very quiet until you drive aggressive. I have been very happy with this setup. The cabin is very quiet. Going to reach out to the muffler shop to find out which magnaflow mufflers they used

Sorry I haven't been able to reach my muffler shop to get the model of mufflers. Just to be clear I originally asked the muffler shop about creating an axel back exhaust with the magnaflow mufflers. They recommend that I just go ahead and replace the stock mufflers, said that the piping would be sufficient and there really isn't a need to resend additional piping. So they cut the stock mufflers and welded on the new mufflers and welded two silverline oval tips.

Just received information back from my muffler shop here in Sacramento. The Magnaflow mufflers are part # 11225 and the Silverline tips are TK7864C. Hope this helps some of you! I have been really happy with this setup!

Cheers!

Thanks for the part numbers! The tips come up as round instead of oval when I searched online...Just want to make sure I get the final look and sound that you have

Hi, I just purchased a 2017 Platinum. Am thinking about a few mild mods like exhaust, carbon interior kit and upgrading the wheels to 19's. Car needs tires anyway so I am leaning toards just doing a package deal. In regards to the exhaust I wondered how it was on the highway at cruising speeds? I ask because I am no spring chicken and my parents my borrow it from time to time when they go on short trips and I take my Dad's truck. Was also wondering how your car rides on the 19's? Thanks. Jim

I like the sound of this. But leaning more to the stillen intake and catback exhaust. I cant justify wheels yet to my wife. Have the car since new and only has 10k miles. 17 platinum here too.
