Just ten miles southwest of Hinesville on US 84 is a little burg named Ludowici, county seat of Long County. Ludowici was named as the #1 speed trap in the U.S several times in the 1960s. It was because of law enforcement eagerness in Ludowici that the state of Georgia passed a law giving citizens a ten MPH cushion over the speed limit for all enforcement agencies except the Georgia Highway Patrol.

Since you are so very far from Atlanta (where requests for special tags are approved), I am very surprised you got such quick turnaround. Usually takes me nearer a month. Very nice tag, by the way. I still have all my special tags going back for over fifty years. During the 1960s, I used a tag with nothing on it except 'UFO'. And I literally did fly down the road like a UFO in those days.
