Demographic of Maxima owner

51. Just bought a 2017 Gun Metal SL a couple of months ago.
My first new car was an '85 Sentra. Then a '90 Jetta, a '99 Camry, '02 9-3, '11 9-3. I came back to Nissan as Saab was no longer an option. I looked at MB, Audi, Subaru, and Mazda before pulling the trigger on the Maxima. I regret nothing.

I'm new to the forums but I graduated college recently as well and I am 23 years old leasing a new 2016 Nissan Maxima SR in Bordeaux Black. Switched from a 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i. Reallly loving the car as I am about the only person I know out of my circle of friends that actually enjoys driving.

[QUOTE=jc53;9131943]61. Pearl White Platinum. My tenth consecutive Maxima dating back to 1987.[/QUOTE
jc53 - I bought two 1985 Maximas (one for wifey), but have only owned eight consecutive Maximas. You may hold the record here for most consecutive Maximas.

Yes Light...my wife and I joke all the time that Nissan should have us make a commercial. In addition to my Maximas my wife has had a 240Z, three Pathfinders, and most recently a 350Z (a 2003 that is pristine with only 28K on the odometer.)

32, just bought a 2017 pearl white platinum. First ever "non-American manufacturer" car. Loving it so far. The CVT is taking some getting used to. I've had a GTO, mustang GT, Cadillac CTS-V, Ford Fusion, now the Max. Love the overall quality and smoothness of the ride.

How do y'all manage??!
I'm seeing a lot of people around my age with a SR or even a Platinum here, which is awesome! I'm 25, yet I find it very difficult to afford an SR because it seems like the note is just so extremely high. I have a well paying job, and have had it since leaving college but a $600+ car note just seems so extreme. Are y'all truly paying $600+/5 years in car payments?? Or am I the only one who feels that pain of seeing how that's feasible?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't qualify as a Nissan owner yet (later this year), but I'm 43. Not ready to settle down and join the minivan and SUV crowd just yet.
My previous rides were.
Hyundai Azera 2007 (current, lot faster than it looks)
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Also, consider buying used. It's not as prestigious as a shiny new car but because of depreciation you will save a fortune. Only downside is it will be tougher to find the exact color, options, etc that you may want.

Update
Don't feel bad, I couldn't afford this car when I was 25 either. Then again, I think it's worth the wait to get a good down payment first so those monthly payments aren't quite so bad.
