Demographic of Maxima owner

I am very surprised that the first two posters are only 24. If I was 24 today I would be looking at a 370Z, not a Maxima. When I was 24 I drove a Datsun 240Z. I would be interested on the reasoning for selecting a Maxima at the age of 24.

I had lots of choices but with my long commute (95 miles round trip) I wanted something comfortable, fuel efficient, and wanted a v6. I looked at the Honda Accord v6, BMW 3 series, Audi A3, but felt this was more car than the others. Also I wanted something with lots of technology, non-turbo motor, and low maintenance. Maxima checked all the boxes, plus it is definitely a looker!!

Well at age 21, I was driving a 2006 Acura TL 6 speed MT. And at age 24, I was driving an Acura TSX. I always had a preference for 4 doors. Came back to Nissan after the thought of downgrading from TL to TSX at staying in the same price range really hit me. Then decided to go with an inexpensive Altima as nothing was too appealing for me plus I was backed against the wall with my TSX being way over mileage @ 28k (long story).

I am 29 and have had Altimas since I was 18. I had an 05 Altima and two years later got the 07 Altima and traded it in to get my 2016 Maxima. I never really was a Maxima fan until this new model came out. I test drove it and fell in love with it. After driving one it's hard to go back to your old car. So I pulled the trigger and traded in my Altima and got my Max.

I stopped posting my age online way back when I entered my eighties. I have owned nothing but four door sedans starting with my 1949 Studebaker. I have owned nothing but Maximas since October 1984, when I bought two 1985s, one for wifey, one for me. I could afford cars costing more, but the the Maxima has everything I need, is reliable, and I love the styling. Huge selling point is that my Nissan dealer and his staff and I have become longtime friends who trust each other and treat each other right. That carries big weight with me.

Was all set on buying an Altima SL but the dealership couldn't get the color combo I wanted. Went to a bigger dealership and they had literally just parked a Pearl White/Camel interior SR in the lot. Sat in it and was blown away, drove it and changed my mind on the spot. Bought it that weekend and have had nonstop compliments on it

Black SR.
I'm 44 and have leased/owned all sorts of cars over the years. Starting from a Mazda RX-7 at 16 and then Jeep Wrangler, Mustang, Jeep Cherokee, Several VWs (Passat, 2 CC's), 2 Lexus (IS250, RX350). Other than my Wrangler (which is my favorite...but only for nostalgic reasons and memories of that time period in my life), this Maxima is by FAR my favorite vehicle. The combination of sport and luxury along with the "bells and whistles" and styling has provided me with greater satisfaction than any other vehicle I have owned.
Additionally, I have had access through family members to some very high end Lexus, Mercedes, and Vettes over the years. While (of course) I would not put the Maxima in their category, I can say that in driving it, it has a FAR closer feel to those types of rides than other cars in its own competitive category. To have a car that I don't have any "it's great but I only wish that....it was faster, it looked sportier, the inside were more upscale, etc...." types feelings is great.
This is the first lease I have ever had that I actually thought I might end up keeping (although I know I won't as a newer Maxima will pull me into a new lease in about 2 years). I'm absolutely thrilled with this vehicle.
My only concern is that I know I'm going to be well over the lease mileage limits. It's simply too much fun to drive and the family is using it WAY more than we probably should...oh well, guess that 3 year lease will turn into a 2 year 2 month deal before I get a new one...

32, my third 4th Nissan. Bought it on Monday. Only the 2nd with a VQ. Love the power, don't think I'll ever go back to a 4 cylinder again. Had a 2.5 Altima before. Got rid of it because it was a little on the slow side and I wanted something more upscale.

I am 54. This is my third Maxima (purchased less than a month ago), but it would have been my 4th Z had my wife not just purchased a mustang in Sept.
I have had a 79 280ZX, an 81 280zx, an 83 zx, an two Maximas.

38 here. Been a sports car guy ever since I could see over the steering wheel, but life hit and I had to get a truck back in 2000 due to having a new family and house to take care of. Just this year I had the opportunity to retire my '06 Ridgeline to my son...which meant we still have a truck and I got to pick out a new car again! Tried almost every 4-door car on the market, but this one grabbed me from the first time I sat down. Love it and hope its quality holds up. Oh and it is a 2016 SR midnight edition.

37yrs old, pearl white SR.
Previous car was 2008 Altima Coupe, 1994 Integra before that. I wanted a 4 door car and was looking at the Maxima and the V6 Accord, test drive showed that Maxima was geared to be driven while the Accord was a fair bit more timid, despite similar HP ratings.
