Neither one of those will give you a cold air intake. Your stock setup is a CAI as it takes in air from outside the engine compartment. The two you propose take air from under the hood whick is a lot hotter, and not a good idea. With Stillen or K&N you will get a lot more noise from the engine, but less performance off the line.

I installed a K&N. I had to modify the mounting bracket since it was interfering with the shift linkage. The sound of the intake is the only difference.

The post above stated that the mounting bracket had to be modified because it was interfering with the shift linkage. Maybe something along those lines?

You have to cut the heat shield under about the shifting cable

The STILLEN Intake doesn't have any fitment issues.

This is not actually the case. The Stillen intake uses the factory air duct and the less restrictive design does give performance increases.

^ Does Stillen have a Dyno graph they can share which illustrates said performance increases? Thanks.

I have asked you guys over at Stillen in the past to provide IATs with your intake vs factory with hood closed and I never get a response.

Claims of performance increases but no data. I'm not interested in open hood dyno results.

The inconsistency with a CVT makes dyno results unimportant to me.

Anyone have issues with the "MIL" engine light staying on after the intake install?
