Rear wheel hop.

Hello all. New to the forum. Looking forward to learning more about this bad *** car. I just bought a 2016 Sv about a month ago and noticed while driving over bumps and pot holes the the rear end hops to the left. The dealership says it's because the *** end is very light bla bla bla . even tried to convince me that it's cause I have a sport suspension even though my model does not come with that option. Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions? Thanks.

I was having a knocking sound come from mine when going over speed bumps or uneven surfaces. They found that the bolts on my front sway bar were not tightened properly from the factory. Don't know if this helps, but probably the same guy that assembled mine not torquing down the suspension components correctly.

By any chance, are the tires over inflated? Mine were about 5lbs more from the dealer and the car would act weird if you hit bumps while going into a turn. It was the traction control kicking in but unnecessarily. I set the tire pressure to the recommended level an the car tracks way better and is more predictable on bumpy surfaces

The rear passenger shock was bad which was causing the rear to slide to the right when hitting bumps. The dealership replaced both rear shocks and it fixed the problem. They had another maxima on their lot that had the same problem.

Thanks for the update. Rear shocks would sure cause an issue if not to spec.
Also good input on the tire pressure. Now that it is warm, I see my tires are now overinflated by 5 pounds so it have to let air out ( Always check the tires 1st thing in the morning at the same time)
