2016 Maxima RWD? or FWD? Staggered Rims?

Hi guys, I'm shopping for rims, and one guy was trying to set me up with a staggered fit, which I love, I had it on my Infiniti, but I know you don't want staggered on FWD cars for handling purposes, and its just not right. But he never flinched when I ask him about it. So I come home and Google it and am getting conflicting answers. Any advice? Anyone have a staggered fit on their car with no issues? Is this car FWD? Thank you all for your support in my time of air headedness...

The 1981 through 1984 (1st generation) Maximas were RWD. But, beginning with the 2nd gen 1985, Maximas have always been FWD. I don't see this changing again, as there are too many advantages of FWD in a family sedan.

As to staggering, I have never been a fan because it means the tires can never be rotated in the usual pattern, and sometimes complicates getting a really good deal when replacing the tires. There can also be handling issues if you are an aggressive driver. But I don't know of any significant reason why you can't do it if you will be driving the car in a normal fashion.

There may be offset issues. The bigger pair would probably stick out too much because the width of the wheels will be too great.

join the FB 8 gen maxima page, more than a few members that run a staggered setup with no issues...
