I got my brakes done last week and noticed this gap in front of the car. I asked if the front fender had been removed when doing the brakes and they said no but I have no idea how that happened since it wasn't there when we picked up the car 2 weeks ago. I've tried pushing it back in but it won't go back. Can this trim piece be removed and reset? Trying not to take it to the colission center to save time. Any suggestions appreciated.
It look like they crash ur car man because that piece is hard to remove it is clip on and screwed on to maybe put back on you have to remove ur bumper to get to that part sorry that why i do all my work and I don't trust nobody with my cars
Yeah, Gunn Nissan service is a joke. I use to live around the corner from them and they took care of all my service. They most likely ran into something and pushed your bumper in. Probably hit on the plate itself so you won't see the damage.
that sucks, obviously they are going to deny it up and down. for future reference, when dropping your car at the dealership (or any where else) make sure to get the service manager (the one that writes up the ticket) to take a quick walk around you vehicle with you so you can confirm they saw the condition of the vehicle BEFORE they start working on it (wouldn't hurt to take a video of it with your phone, you can always delete it if nothing happens). Its a pain, but an extra 5 min walk around can keep s h i t like this from digging into your pockets. Good Luck!
Thanks everyone. I'll be taking it back to get the new map update taken care of hopefully this coming weekend so I'll make sure it gets taken care of. "NO" will not be an option for them.
yeah, there are always a few of these advisors and techs that will say anything to get out of working on your car - their b.s. will make you sound like the idiot standing in front of them.
"oh, it is supposed to be like that," is my favorite one. i die laughing inside, yet, wanting to punch my small fist into their noses. but, the good ones know, and have the same feels.
