Question Backlighting dash buttons?

Could someone confirm whether or not the control buttons on the 2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum are supposed to be back-lit when the outside headlights are on at night?

Thanks!

David

It looks like the picture was taken with the nighttime lights off instead of on.

The picture I took was with the lights off (actually, just this morning), solely for the purpose of circling the items that weren't lit. You'll just have to trust me that there were no buttons visible when I was driving last night (I guess I haven't driven in the dark enough to have noticed it previously).

To raven69david:

Have you tried dimming the dash lighting (buttons on the left of the steering column--which were also not lit for me) and seen if the button backlight went away at a certain level?

Thanks!

Yes. If you dim the lights from the dimmer button on the left side, all the panel lights, including the ones near/around the Nav screen, will go fully dark.

Hello,
I'm having the same problem with my 2017 Nissan Maxima. How did you fix your backlight issue?
