So, I took the car through the car wash and noticed the side mirrors had been folded in by the attendant. After I exited the car wash, I got out to put them back to their original position but they were back! Now I wonder if the attendant actually did fold them in. Anyone know if the SR has a sensor that folds them in/out? I don't see anything in the manual. Thanks.

 

None of the trims offer automatic folding mirrors, that I am aware of. I have the Platinum and they do not.

 

Frasierts is correct, none of the Maximas offer automatic folding mirrors. The Platinum model offers tilting mirrors for reverse, but that is all.

 

Funny this comes up just after I completed a Nissan survey regarding my 2016. One of the few changes I suggested was power folding outside mirrors, because home builders build most garages with doors eight feet wide, and that results in the mirrors coming within inches of the door frame on every entrance and exit, which my wife and I do several times each day. We are very lucky we had ten foot wide doors on our country home and nine foot wide doors on our city home. Many folks are not so lucky.
