Turns out that the window had frozen to the rubber channel and pulled the rubber down slighly away from the vertical window channel as window was opened. That in turn caused the window to bind things up against the rubber. Solution was to use silicone lube and a little glue to resecure the rubber to the channel.
Thanks for the heads up. It appears there is a real issue with the window. You are totally right, the window was causing the rubber at the rear bottom vertical channel and top of the same channel to fold in. The dealer stated that the regulator/motor was bad. I’m going to let them keep the car until they figure it out. It’s also in for a clicking noise coming from the front brakes but ONLY when I change from drive to reverse and ONLY after I press the brakes to stop while going in reverse. No noise when stopping in drive. The dealer said that brakes/rotors/hardware is all new and replaced during the pre sale certification inspection. Sort of sounds like the clips clicking but as stated, ONLY WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES IN REVERSE. Anyone else have this issue? This is my very first Maxima and I’d like to know if this is normal.

I took it to my local Nissan dealership here in N.J. and was told that the motor/regulator was bad and of course out of warranty. Good thing I have an extended svc plan which does cover the parts and replacement. All I have is a $100 deductible. But of course the parts are on backorder. I was given a 2019 Rouge SV as a loaner until my Max is fixed.
lol. People are complaining about getting a Rogue SV loaner when they gave me a 2017 Versa a few months back. I've had a Rogue SV rental for a few days on a business trip and it's really not that bad.

I have this exact same noise with the brakes. I looked into this a while back when I first noticed it, and I believe I saw someone state that it was the brake shims. I haven't worried about it since. The noise hasn't changed, and I have looked everything over on the front brakes, and everything looks perfectly fine.

Its definitely not the brakes breaking in. Mine have been making this noise for several thousand miles. I dont know if its shim design or what, but its nothing to worry about.

8th Gen Problems

Well I found out that my window issue was a bent support bracket inside of the door. I took it back to the dealer where I purchased it and they have to replace the bracket. The dealer close to my house recommended the entire door be replaced. The dealer where I made the purchase stated that the entire door did not need to be replaced. We shall see! If it’s not right when they tell me to come pick it up, they can keep it until they repair it correctly. Thanks for the comment on the brakes.
