Remote Start Issues

My 2016 SL is giving me fits. The remote start has decided it only wants to work when it feels like it. I replaced the battery recently and at times when i get in my car it doesn't recognize my FOB even when it is in plain view. Has anyone had these problems?

While I don't have these issues in my Maxima, my 2015 Pathfinder Platinum is exactly the same. Only remote starts when it wants too. I can't isolate it to any issue.

I to had this same problem with my 2016 Platinum - but with only
one Key FOB - replaced battery - didn't change - bought another battery
and been fine since.

Go into the setting in the small odometer screen, i dont remember where or under which tab but there is a specific place where you can check if the "keyink" (i think thats what its called) is on or not and it tells you which key your using.

I tried my other FOB and the same issue. I replaced both batteries and it has not happened as much. I synced the Keylink with the FOBs so before and after replacing batteries. I am going to the dealer to have my panoramic sunroof looked at and I am going to have them check that out as well.

You may also not that the remote start won't work (mine won't) if the other key is in the car. If we are out and my wife is with me, if she leaves her purse in the car I am unable to remote start the car.

I have a 16 platinum and have the issue . Took it to the dealer but they couldnt make it duplicate the issue . He said to have me take her key fob next time .They did document this though.

if the key or the second key is to close to the car for it to detect it. it will not start especially if the key is in the car as in my wife case with her Pathfinder. I have the Nissan connect services app and I tried to start the car from the app and I was too close to it I got an email from the site saying the key was detected to close to the vehicle and remote start failed due to that. not sure if that helps anyone but just sharing what I have noticed.
