Angry Clunking Noise From Rear of SR

There is some sort of fairly loud clunking noise at the rear of my car when the car goes over sudden, quick bumps. I know other members here have had issues with the nuts on the connecting rod being loose and there is even a TSB about it, but the dealership says that is not the issue. They thought it was a rear shock and replaced it, but that didn’t fix the problem. The noise is only there when the weather is cold and has done it since I bought the car August 2015. There is no noise in the warm months. I’ve checked the deck behind the rear seats, the trunk area, the bumper, everywhere I can think of and cannot find the issue. I’m taking it back to the dealer tomorrow. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

Does this happen when you go over speed bumps in cold weather?

It’s low temperature so relax. Nothing you can do... I have witnessed it myself! Took the car from California to NYC for Christmas and it rattled everywhere dash, plastic and especially the back. Now it’s back to Cali no noise, no clunk of what so ever.

Thank you. I actually always do a keyword search before I post something to try to make sure there isn’t already a thread about it. I didn’t find much. I guess I didn’t look carefully enough. I willl investigate the thread you linked.
