Driver’s seat squeak

Happy New Year to you,
I have a 2017 Maxima Platinum and the driver’s seat squeaks almost every time it slides back to let me exit the car with the power driver’s memory-entry/exit. The dealer has lubed the seat and seat rails more than once and it hasn’t stopped the problem. Any one else have this issue and if so, what was the fix?

Thanks,
G

Just picked up the car from the dealership and they have ordered a whole new seat. Some piece in the seat frame is bent which is causing the squeak. The dealership can’t just order a portion of the seat, they have to order a whole new seat. If anyone else has this issue, I would get it checked out before your warranty expires. According to my service tech, the cost of a new seat is $3,300, so well worth addressing the issue before the basic warranty is out! Hope this helps anyone with this issue, thanks.

Wow that's a fortune for a seat. I suspect that because it's the platinum, it has the extra heating and ventilation components that must be swapped out as well. That may explain some of the cost.

Gotta say those are some of the most comfy seats I've ever had in a car, so perhaps they are almost worth the costs.
