Who pays for Nissan Connect?

I was acivated by XM . Did not have interest on it but now that I downloaded the app , I think it is as useless as I thought. If u have the key fob why do u need to open ur car thru an app which takes forever to load or respond. Also all the other functions do not load in reasonable time. As for notifications I don’t see the use. So wondering who would pay an average of $20 a month for this service. I have to make sure to cancel it before the trial period ends. Or they will keep billing..

I would if it was available on my 16 S. I installed a aftermarket system instead. I can now start the car from inside a building, like work, when it is very cold or very hot and have the interior comfortable. I used the trunk unlock last week when it was hot. My boss met me at work and we were going to take my car off site. He needed to place something in my trunk before he came inside. I popped it open for him.

YMMV

I see, I can’t open the trunk from my app and it takes forever to respond, maybe the after market is better..

I didn't add tracking since I park in my garage and a secured parking lot at work, and my daughter is now an adult with her own car

I do use the remote start and door lock/unlock. It responds in 5-6 seconds, and is around $60 per year.

Believe it or not sounds better than the one from Nissan and way cheaper. I wouldn’t use it for parental controls either because my daughter has her own car and she is afraid I might kill her if she scratches or something happens to my new Max...she doesn’t drive it

As one of the earliest 2016 Max buyers, I can tell you it is a waste of money. Took years to m ake it somewhat usable.
