I have a '17 Platinum so it is probably just like yours. Make sure your rain sensor is on. Go to settings/wipers/rain sensor and make sure it is on. Also the auto feature is only works in the first wiper position, low and high are not auto.

Well, I can't help you Sundance. Maybe someone else will chime in with a solution.

A quick test idea.... Sprinkle it with a garden hose to see that it is working.

It comes on so sprinkling water is not going to help. I need it to not come on if there’s not any water

If you have all the settings correct then the rain sensor is probably bad and will have to be changed. This is a warranty item so have the dealership fix it.

Please take the time to read your Owner's Manual, page 2-36, to learn that your wipers are working as designed. The Manual says this:

RAIN-SENSING AUTO WIPER SYSTEM (if so equipped)

The rain-sensing auto wiper system can automatically turn on the wipers and adjust the wiper speed depending on the rainfall and the vehicle speed by using the rain sensor located on the upper part of the windshield.

To set the rain-sensing auto wiper system, push the lever down to the AUTO position. The wiper will sweep once while the ignition switch is in the ON position.

The rain sensor sensitivity level can be adjusted by turning the **** toward the front (High) or toward the rear (Low).

This. Make sure the sensitivity **** is not turned all the way up.
