Malfunction Indicator Light

Yesterday as I was sitting in the car wash, my malfunction indicator light came on. I tried looking up the to see what possibly could be the cause since it's a 2017 Platinum with less then 5000 miles on it!! When I got home I checked the fuel cap and it was on right. I know it says it could take a few days for it to go off (if that's the issue) and I'm waiting patiently. But I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue? It boggles my mind to see that light come on on such a new car!!!

Your car has a fuel filler cap light and several other "malfunction" lights. Which one was one?

It's the orange engine light.

I would run it by a Auto Zone if there is one near you and they will check the code free of charge.

Don't take it anywhere but Nissan service center. You are under warranty if anything needs attention.

Warrantee car, take it to dealership. Car with no warrantee, you go to parts store to run code. Parts store doesn't have loaner cars, and can't do the work, and they aren't typically certified on the car you brought in, don't waste your time there.

Can you still do the trick where you pump and hold down the gas to get the codes?

We tried that and it didn't work. So I'm really not sure if you still can or we just wasn't doing it right.
